The Mesick Historical Museum will be open today from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and from May 7th to October 2, 2010.
We will be featuring special events during the summer. Check back at the calendar on web site at www.mesickmuseum.com to see what those events are. They will be posted as soon as possible. We are on Facebook at the same address. You can also check the local newspaper and TV web site for a schedule of events.
The museum has in its collection items like old newspapers, clothing, tools, scrapbooks, list of obituaries from the surrounding area, dishes, furniture, lumbering display and items, and many more.
We have for sale DVD's of old pictures, logging pictures, booklet of the history of the area, and a calendar.
We are normally open on Saturday but you can arrange another time by contacting one of the volunteers to schedule this. The numbers are on the web site.
Description:
We will be reminiscing with seniors from the area as to the history of the surrounding area. We hope to tape this reminiscing. Several people will be sharing what they remember from the days gone by. Come and add what you remember to the story. We will be meeting from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm today. This is an added events to our schedule of events.
